You may ask what is hdr, well it is a new form of photography, which stands for High Dynamic Range. It gives a three dimensional effect to your photographs. It is not an easy effect achieve, This shot was duel purpose for me, one to test out hdr and slow shutter together on water. It had a really unique look. The green in the water is caused by a thick layer of alge growing at the surface. This is our local rock slide that sends you down into a water hole. Good old fashioned fun.
Jeans required.

Sometimes when you have a moment to reflect, you just take a deep breath, and just enjoy the moment in time God granted you to gaze at marvels such as this.

This shot is of my lovely daughter expressing her delight, after a long trip in the car. Our first morning there she feels utter joy at the beginning of our summer vacation.
This photo is now under consideration and a finalist for Parade Magazine shot of the week. Praying and hoping it makes it!

This is that special time when the sun sinks behind the horizon, sky deepening in blue, any moment the starlight will begin to shine. I love this part of a sunset. It may not be dramatic as a cloud filled sky,
but still there is something very calming about a quiet sunset like this.

An empty Park Bench, a peaceful sunset, no one else around. Sit down, relax, and put your mind a ease.

Returning fisherman chug towards the weigh in at a local fishing tournament. Sun setting on a hot summer day.
A picture of summer in Dixie.

I love the hue and just caught the break on this one!
No photoshop!
If you look close you can see a pelican in flight.

For all the world to see. Shinning a path for us all.

Shot atop a high hill in Birmingham, this sunset proved to be very dramatic, it changed constantly with fog rising up over the distant hill,
it was magical. My husband actually turned round so I could capture from the Parking lot of a local eatery, seeing me there shooting drew
onlookers and fellow phototogs.

Slow shutter on a river running through the Roaring fork Nature Trail in Smoky Mtn Nat. Park, TN

Found ths stream at a park just before the entry to the Roaring forks Nature trail, outside of Gatlinburg, TN

Hanging over a stone wall right up next to the road, I found this scene to nice to pass up.

My favorite creek. Once slated for destruction by county officals, to be replaced with a prison. Our community stood up and fought to save it. It is a hot spot in our communtiy, now a nature preserve, it features
a rock slide that you can ride in a sturdy pair of jeans, that will dump you out into a swimming hole.

The gorgeous yellows of this lily just can't help but remind you of a bright cheery sunshine filled day.

One of my most favorite shots of flowers, these lilies are gorgeous.

Just a wedge of happiness from the famous sunflower.

Another one of my Patio flowers that reflects the passion I have for all flowers and nature.

The beautiful bloom of the Prickly Pair Cactus, it amazed me to view such a beautiful flower on such a prickly plant. Beauty with a price.

These two little flowers seemed to be fighting over the sunlight.

A macro shot of a lovely flower featuring
water droplets, after a summer rain.

The color is bright and the sun shines brightly

The sand had really some interesting shading on this shot, almost looked like mist.

This shot is really hard to figure from a small size, but it is full of texture and color. The sky is surreal and thier is the smallest of boat's
chugging it's way along in the highlighted reflection. One of the most viewed shots on my flickr page.

There is no doubt, that god's paintbrush was at work here.
I couldn't help but be reminded of that bible verse when i
stood at the ocean's floor in amazing awe of his glory!

An example of a little creative photoshoping, but really not much.
This is the Myrtle Beach, SC State Park Pier.

This is my first photo posted on flickr to make it to thier explore page, for those who may not know what that means. It means out of the thousands of photos posted each day, from all across the world, your ranked in the top 500 for that day.
This was shot in Myrtle Beach, SC

It was my last shot taken on my vacation at the beach, kinda reminded me of that old song "it's gonna be a bright, bright, bright,
bright Sunshine-y day."

The first verison of Pier Peek, popular on flickr, I love the way the sunrise look through the Pier footings.

This shot was taken in early April 2006
just before spring had sprung.

Another explore on flicker favorite.
I just couldn't get over the light and these
Jellyfish, they glowed and danced and floated.
They were the focus of a large crowd.
