A large open meadow held a breathtaking sight....a large herd of elk. They have been re-introduced to The Smoky Mountain Park and are protected, they seem to be so co-operative for all the people who wanted to take thier pictures. I was just so excited, I really had trouble holding the camera still enough to focus!

This a different view shot taken at the same time I shot Twilight, can't decide which one I liked best to enter in a contest, so I polled all of my flickr friends and they chose this one!
